Prints of Fine Art Work With today's printing technology, it is possible to get a top quality archival print called a giclee. (Pronounced gee-clay). The print quality is so good that it is difficult to discern the print from the original. The inks and substrate used in a giclee are durable to approximately 100 years. If the print is of an oil painting, a canvas substrate may be used. Watercolors are printed onto watercolor paper. The advantage is price. Sometimes a large and/or very complex painting can be made more affordable. Any purchase of artwork is an important decision, if you have any questions, please contact me.
